Seasons Under Way

I am loving coaching. The season has started and now is half way over. Where does the time go? We have done very well, taking 1st place team at all levels (4-5-6) at all of our last 3 competitions. We still have alot of work to do before the State Championships at the end of November, but the girls are doing very well and I am so proud of them all. I am also trying to start up a competition tumbling team at our gym. I have alot to learn about it, but am having fun learning all the rules and requirements. Something new and exciting! The season will start in January so we will see how it goes.

Family Ties

I have had so many opportunities the past couple of weeks to spend time with family. It has been wonderful. Having my mother's parents now living here in Salt Lake has brought so many opportunities for us to get together. My cousin Emily and her husband Nathan had there first child, Samantha- she is the sweetest thing. I have been able to see her a couple times.

I then I got to attend her baby blessing last Sunday. It was awesome!
In August it was time to take David to BYU Idaho. So Mom and Dad picked me up along the way up there so that I could spend some time with the fam and with my buddy Dave. We had a good time getting him all settled in to college and dealing with Mom's emotions of having the last child leave home. We did get to do some ping pong, pool playing, rock climbing, jousting, bowling, human somo wrestling in big somo suits too. Which David kicked my butt at. It was a great time, and a needed weekend away. For those of you who don't know my brother Ben came home from his mission in the Phililipines the last week in September. He wasn't home even a day before heading up to Utah to see some friends, go to a mission reunion, and have the first family reuniting since he had left for his mission. It was amazing to see him, he is doing so well. It was confrence weekend and we all crashed at my grandparents condo up in Salt Lake, which is directly across from the temple and has the most amazing view. We all enjoyed it very much. Anyways Nathan came down from Washington, David from Idaho, Mom, Dad, Amber, and Ben all came up from Arizona. We got to all go to the Sunday morning session of confrence together in the confrence center. It was such a great experience. We had such a blast, and I miss them all alot now and am having family withdrawals. I am so grateful to have such a loving and excepting family, and I want them all to know how much I love them and appreciate all that they do for me. Love you!

My Buddy

As you can see, my little pride and joy is Collin Petersen. Since I've been living out here in Utah with Shannon and her family, I have become addicted to seeing Collin. And vice versa. He loves to come downstairs and visit, "I-D" and play with all my knick knacks. He's such a joy to be around and it's been so fun to watch him grow up!
