Tumbling Season Winding Down...

I haven't posted in a while. Sheesh, have I felt busy lately...

There's been a lot of big changes in my life in the past few months. I made the leap, and decided to find a job outside of the world of gymnastics... well, not entirely--I intend to continue judging.

I now work as a staffing manager for SOS Staffing. It's really the perfect job for me because I get to meet new people every day. And who likes meeting new people more than me?! I'm also learning sooo much. I love it. SOS really treats their employees well and we have a lot of fun along the way. I was recently selected to participate in the corporate games. Tons and tons of fun! Baseball, golf, football, canoeing, rock climbing, frisbee, tug-of-war, basketball, dodgeball, and soccer -- all in one day! And we took 4th out of 19 teams. And ruled as the Champions of both the Home Run Derbie & the Tug-of-War! Yee-haw!! I love my life!

The baby bro went into the MTC earlier this month. I'm sure going to miss him, but I'm going to do everything I can to hook him up at least once every one of the 12 weeks he's going to be in there (he's speaking Russian.) We had a lot of fun getting the family together for a couple of days to send him off. Good ol' times goofin' around teasing each other (and the parentals), and playing games. It was so much fun for me to have my parents and bros meet Dal. I hope they like him as much as I do ;).

The tumbling season hasn't been at all bad for my first year coaching. If I may say so, we've dominated. Our team closed the season sporting 4 State Champions and 6 Regional Champions (and there's still Nationals around the corner--Way to go Steve! He made the Regional All Star Team so we are on our way to Memphis,TN) I'm so proud of my kids--all of them. They've all learned so much and come so far in just one year. End of year banquet is tomorrow. Dal's been such a HUGE help getting stuff put together for this--ordering plaques and helping me put together a DVD slideshow that I can give to all my kids. I don't know what I'd do without him! It's starting to hit me that my coaching days are really going to come to an end (at least for the foreseeable future.) But for now I'm excited to actually have a stable schedule that I can build my life around. I'm actually in the middle of preparations for the banquet now and thought I'd take a moment to let all of my friends and family who think I've fallen of the edge of the planet that I'm still alive and kickin!

The fight of life is worth every sacrifice!
